As someone who is a professional display fabricator, I wonder what you suggest for a quick clean hole? A utility blade? Nope. A hole punch? A BBQ skewer? Nope. What's the difference.

Painted stones and shells are just as annoying when you're in nature. People go to hike or explore to get away from human imprints. We hike daily and it's so annoying when someone is painting things in the forest or beach. We also clean paths as we go.
Use a highly rated Seasonal Affective Disorder LED panel for about $40 and suspend. Allows you to get beautiful lighting with adjustable temps and intensity. Even and uber bright if needed.
