I feel like this lately. I'm a software developer and I'm learning some new technologies for a hobby project. It's on fire right now.
I tried so hard and got so far. But in the end, it doesn't even matter...

On the day they laid me off, they reminded me that my non-compete was still in effect for 1 year. Sons of bitches.
I'm a programmer and I had that agreement once, along with a non-compete.
When I told my parents I was embarrassed to tell people I was Christian, what I really meant was I was embarrassed of this kind of thing.
