You are a parent and therapist and caregiver 24/7. It's tough and incredibly emotional at times. Especially when you keep being confronted with what your kid will never be able to do or have, especially if they are very ordinary or common things or life events. At the same time, it's very rewarding, the love is real and every succes is a major achievement and a milestone with very explicit celebration. After some time, you don't know any better and it's allright.
