Breastfeeding IS hard. And painful. And it might get better but none of the struggle is because something is wrong with you. You're also exhausted. Do what you need to do to make sure your baby is fed, formula or breast milk are all good. Please watch out for Post Partum depression, too. It's a sneaky bastard. This mom is here to vouch for how hard it all is, even if it is also beautiful and amazing.
