While he WAS accused of involvment in selling anti-tank and surface-to-air missiles illegally to Iran. Many in my family have died at their hands. If I give them an inch they will keep us in this opression/kill everyone of us after torture and rape. And EVERY fact and experience proves me right.
And the elect a hard right wing government that enacts the one main israeli tenet. Don't let them get us again. So they divide the pali territories ´with settlements. They systematically imprison suspects and torture them to find their accomplices. And they win. There are few active teror cells. There are peace deals with their neighbours. And then October 17th happen.
So eventually Israel left the Gaza but continued to blockade it from fishing receiving flihgts, and most goods. By now Jordan had oficially given up the West Bank to the palestinians, Egypt have tried to expel refugees and negotiations on a two state solution happened. And then basically only Iran supported Palestine by supporting terror groups, AL qaeda raises to prominence and Israel tries to remain vigilant.

This imho is an example of the israeli mindset Any level of threat is treated with disproportionate force because if you lose you and your famliy die. The funerals were attended by 10k ppl but were peaceful. The next day Israelis say youths throw stones and molotovs at israeli vehicles. They kill one palestinian and wounde 16. According to the palestinians Israelis opened fire at demonstrators and name the killed boy a martyr of the intifada.
Now things go very complicated. Egypt and Jordan and Israel wants to be friends with the US and are enemies with Iran. But Jordan and Egypt can't be friends with Israel because their other friends won' t like the and there might be civil war (again). Stateless Palestinians live all over the middle east. Manhy of them keeping keys to their old homes that only grandma has seen. Much like the jews in diaspora 2000 yrs earlier.
Israel qonquered the west bank in 1967 and took Jerusalem. The PLO was founded and fought Israel inside the west bank areas. "But they grew to greedy and delved too deep.." They fought from inside Jordan and hijacked airplanes and landed in Jordan airports. In 1970 the PLO and Jordan went to war. Jordan won and PLO left for Beirut. CIA took out the regime in Iran and got the Ayatollahs instead. Death to america.

800k-850k jews were expulsed/driven/ethnically cleansed from the arab world 1940 to 1970. This is viewed as a nakhba by meny jews, but not by most arabs. An argument why the Gaza and WEst baqnk regugees an't return is "We need to make room for all the jews you drove away, although the timelines are different).
The peopple living in Gaza today are to a large extent the refugee descendants. Jordan occupied the West bank and jerusalem and began a porgonm against the jewish community, burning or desecrating every synagogue but one and driving every jew from the city. From no on no jew (not just israelis) can visit the "Westen wall" or other holy places for nearly 20 yrs. Syria holds the Golan heights. From these they can fire artillery in over israeli territory at will.
The reality from my viws is that Israelis were attacked by everyone, but oddds were more even that the myth. And Palestinian arabs were driven from their homes, but any left to avoid war, or even encouraged by arab leaders to evacuate. They assumed they would return. Instead Egypt herded all refugees into the "Gaza Strip" and refused to led them into Egypt when Israelis refused to let them return.
