Maybe they can design a unique rail system to transport large loads over long distances. That’ll take awhile, so it’ll need to travel really fast to meet the deadline. Oops, that cost all the money so I guess we just have a high speed rail system but we can’t move the shuttle
Neither, they’ll blame china. The Sinophobia is real.
The fact that any of this happened is an indictment of the whole thing, democrats, republicans, judges, even bystanders letting it happen. The whole thing (American politics and governance) is a sham.
They’re working towards a successor to the very popular iPod shuffle: tiny screen-less iPhone which calls random contacts
I beg you to do something else, star link is space junk with unknown long term ramifications. We need to stop.
Call me crazy, but I like homemade foods
Given that they can just filter e-mails to only federal addresses, I'd say this wouldn't do much of anything except load down some servers somewhere to an unimportant degree
I can’t say why I expected her to become a cat, but I did, and I was confused
If anyone is saying “relax” instead of “focus”, they’re part of the chaos
No, it’s supposed to remind you to focus on triage. Get the machetes and treat the wounded first, ignore the graffiti, ignore the noise, focus on safety.
Isn’t it ironic that his joke is about repackaging old material?
Is it irony or intentional that this joke isn’t even original?
Slippery slope? The slope been slipped!
Not only did he belong to the church, he was ordained by the church to do the show as their form of evangelism. There’s no mention of god, or the church in the show, that specific church just thinks it’s right to spread kindness
Turns out there are lies, damn lies, and statistics

Children with bigoted parents are the ones who will suffer most from this and they have no freedom to move. They will be indoctrinated or culled by the time they have the freedom to leave.
We fight for progressive policies at the national level because we seek to protect the marginalized everywhere. California will be largely sheltered from the effects of this administration as the state has codified protections for human rights (well, you did just vote to keep slavery...), but women, children, PoC in red states will be abandoned. Remember why we fight.
I hear what you’re saying, but as a group with an outsized population of depressed people and one of the leading causes of death being suicide, I’m not sure arming up is the right call.
I’ve been hauled away for yelling at this administration and I’ll be hauled away for yelling at the next.I want democrats to win and I’m angry that they lost. I’m angry that they seem unwilling to do what is necessary to defeat fascists. I am angry at the DNC because they have power. I am not angry at you, who I assume is trying to do the best with the options available. I am not mad at other voters, also trying to do the best they can, with the options given. Tell your reps how mad you are.
We agree that this was a monumental election. I don’t know anyone who voted as a punishment, but I know many who begged for their humanity to be seen and were rebuffed. Why didn’t the Harris campaign do everything in its power to win this election? They eschewed nationally popular positions and leaned right. They lost in a stunning fashion. Why do you protect the campaign? Why do you not rail against the people who will happily hand over power to the incoming fascist?
While I think racism and sexism played a major part, she was chosen as the candidate because they got to keep the campaign war chest, not as a DEI candidate. The more damning failure was her unwillingness to separate herself in any meaningful way from a massively unpopular president.
Even California opted to keep slavery *this* election, there was no counter argument in the voting guide and it still failed.
No one will be surprised by the atrocities Trump commits. What is surprising, is how little progressives care.
The Harris campaign opted to court republicans instead of amping up voter turnout from the base, it was a colossal mistake and the numbers said it was hugely unpopular the whole time. Biden had to step down because of it. The campaign prioritized donors over the election. Hold the campaign accountable or nothing will change.
You want to reflect because you want to beat the Nazis in future elections. The strategy this time didn’t work.
If the only reflection you’ll take from this is that everyone else was wrong and that you hope they’ll suffer, I’m not sure what else there is to say.
It was only an embarrassing loss if you think the main goal was to win the election. The DNC coffers are full and they didn’t offend any major donors by taking any progressive stances.
I certainly hope for reflection and learning from this election. On one side, by the disaffected who believed it fruitless to vote. On another, by the DNC believing the right move was to become more conservative and to abandon progressive policies. Suffering will happen, and I will not be happy that it does, I do not hope for it, I lament it. We failed. We must do better, we must protect each other. Now more than ever.
It is never right to hope for the suffering of others, whether as a consequence of their own actions or by persecution. It is, perhaps, a natural response, but it is not a right one, not a morally good one.
