missed opportunity to play a song with the slap noises. a slapstick, if you will

i switched from google to duckduckgo pretty recently for that exact reason and it's been way better since honestly

i feel like think lore accurate would be easy mode but also with a button to activate berserk mode literally any time you feel like it

maybe without the mentioned exclusion, you think that'd work?

how about all his future income from any source for the rest of his life, excluding liquidating currently owned assets, so he has to "only" survive with what he currently has. honestly that'd still probably be less than a minor inconvenience

I played battlefield 2 back in the day, so i know for sure i could never land that shit

note how you can target a different player to be unjudged, thus leaving the first targeted player to be judged for eternity

no, I'm not disagreeing with you. literally just stating that the only thing I know about EU stuff is from memes. and the downvote wasn't from me. I'll give an upvote to counter it

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

also i just realized the meme is about the star wars TV shows specifically, not the movies. I have barely paid attention to the TV shows at all. Just watched like half of mandalorian and thats it. I heard andor was good but havent watched it yet. so if there was a new TV show which was extra bad that this meme is referring to then I wouldn't know

absolutely true. what you say may indeed be the cause, and the shitty writing the symptom

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

disagree, the genre doesn't matter that much. what matters more is good writing, which the disney SW movies severely lack. a few of the new SW tv shows proves this because people actually like them and that is because they actually have good writing. you also mentioned that in your own comment there at the end by mentioning you need more effort than "suddenly palpatine" and 100% agree there. but that's due to shitty writing and not "because it's "

no idea, I've never looked at any of the EU stuff. every complaint I listed is still true when you only compare it to the older 6 movies

on the other hand if you wanted to kill two solar systems you could vacuum up the star of one and shoot it at another, i guess lol

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

it also literally deletes an entire star every time it's fired, which means it has such a low energy efficiency it's actually funny

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm unsure if your comment agrees or disagrees with me. I never said the older star wars movies were bad. they weren't for the most part. being the first to use a certain plot line is fine, even copying plot lines from other writers is fine most of the time, assuming you do it well. or at least not terribly. what's incredibly boring is when you copy paste a plotline from earlier in your own damn series, and the fact that they also made it worse on top of that certainly didn't help

and by "woke bs" i mean it doesnt matter what your opinion of the meaning of that word (or lack thereof) is because that's completely irrelevant to why they're bad

1 year ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 4

#2 it wasnt some "woke" bs either way that made the new disney star wars movies bad. what made them bad was that the new movies either copy pasted old plotlines with minimum changes, had bs plot twists that were more like plot holes than anything, ruined established lore, made death stars and any other superweapon obsolete, or all of the above simultaneously. in other words, there were actual real reasons why they were bad.

how can you possibly think he got the martial arts perfect? every character is a waving inflatable tube man in that movie. mispronouncing aangs name was the absolute least of the issues

user created tags should be treated differently from "official" tags and you should be able to filter by both at once or either separately, imo

wasn't one of the first things he did early on in his descent to public madness (he was prob already mad before just not publicly) to accuse a professional diver who was rescuing drowning kids of being a pedophile? and with people like elon, every accusation is a confession...

Furthermore, whenever an american claims that "you should just buy a gun, it'll make you feel safer", I just think they are absolutely insane. Holding a gun doesn't make me feel safer, it makes me feel like I took a gut punch made of pure anxiety. In a controlled environment like a shooting range that feeling is lessened but still there. I think anyone who feels safe by holding a gun in a civilized nation is either insane or extremely socially brainwashed.

As someone outside usa I don't think anyone should own guns outside a gun range. If you want to shoot in your spare time or competitively, you can simply buy a gun and keep it at the gun range. If you are a licensed hunter so you need a hunting rifle at home, you should be required to own a bigass safe with some thick-ass walls to put the hunting rifle in. If you live in countryside of a country where there are lots of dangerous animals then that last point can be relaxed.

also swede here. in my city those kinds of rows of postal boxes are made of metal and there's no way in fuck you're getting in without power tools and half an hour of loud noises. also very few delivery services use them, most always send packages to a pickup point by default. you can often pay extra to get it home delivered but why would you? just don't be lazy

last time I checked, while it's true that frameworks were more expensive than the regular cheap lines of laptops such as lenovo, they were still cheaper than apple. and you get more for the money than apple while also supporting right to repair and yknow, physically having the option to repair it yourself. I'm likely buying a framework once my current laptop breaks, assuming they sell in my country by that time

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm like 99% sure framework can be bought without an OS installed so you can install linux if you want

agreed and for another comparison, this sort of thing has a lot of "mad at you because of something that happened in a dream" kind of energy
