I googled this, and Cockwomble is a real word. It is recognized British slang, and about 30yrs old.

It's important to hold onto your drink in a situation like this. Fuck littering in the sea. Those beer cans aren't biodegrading.

"You can read a book while a power structure with harmful intentions continues to solidify and gain more power and reach" ... yeah, hot take alright.
And while you're outside reading that book, millions of people aren't and will consume messaging/content from these sources.

Cardboard box that says Cat Tree on one side, actual cat tree on other side. Both see the same use. Cat furniture is a scam.

I think our boy here didn't watch "Far Beyond the Stars" (Season 6, Episode 13) or "Past Tense, Part I" and "Past Tense, Part II" (Season 3, Episode 11&12)

Are you saying Star Trek DS9 wasn't political? Or that it is a disservice to Gul Dukat to compare him to Charlie Kirk?

I for one will welcome our new bipedal fuzzy overlords.

I'd also further say to that other poster that calling the entire setting of the game and the messages given to players 'tiny bits of lore that 5% of people read' is wild. If no one is paying any attention to these things then everyone just thinks its humans vs space baddies with no greater context than being a rad sci-fi third person shooter with no further message. And if that is the level of thought he ascribes to it... then why does he think helldivers is fascist?

If they are ignorant of the message of the media and just like the outfits like that other poster suggests, then they are just ignorant of the message and just dressing up to dress up. If they don't know Helldivers or Starship Troopers is a parody of Fascism, then they aren't supporting fascism by dressing up. They're unaware of the subject matter, they aren't making a statement other than 'This clothing appeals to my aesthetics', which is not an endorsement nor condemnation of anything.

Yeah my bad on that comment guy, I was arguing with someone else and threw shade your way because i wasn't reading who I was replying to.

For Starship Troopers not Nazi, but fascist, yeah. But if the message of a media piece is 'Fascism is bad' then dressing up as a character from that piece of media someone agreeing with and spreading that message.

Dude, you don't understand parody. Dressing up as an icon of satire from a media whose message is 'fascism is bad' is not supporting fascism.

You continue to show you don't understand parody or what you're talking about. Calm down. stop posting for a bit and chill. People can point out that a bad thing is bad by exaggerating it to the extreme or absurd. It's a thing. Learn about it. Chill out and stop calling everyone you disagree with a moron.

In understanding what helldivers is and the message it conveys. If you don't get it, that's fine, others do.

I also just want to point out every post you've made in reply has had some sort of insult or personal attack in it. Calm down my friend. It's going to be okay.

So... you're Anti-pointing out Facism is bad by means of parody? Got it.

2 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

No, because Nazis actually existed in reality. Starship Troopers and Helldivers are works of fiction and I can tell the difference between the two. You should develop that skill for yourself.

You're one of the ones who didn't get Starship Troopers, aren't you?

If only Helldivers was some sort of parody, Like it was making fun of fascism and how it mindlessly kills its own people. Or had little lore its about how the Class-A citizens, who are the wealthiest 1% of citizens, bought alien eggs as trophy pieces or status symbols and unleashed a bug infestation that killed millions of people but it's totally not their fault cause Class-A citizens are super rich and that means they're always good and right.
