If they’re verbally harassing people, I would think it’s ok to verbally harass them at that time. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to keep harassing them. Harassing her would only encourage her to double down.

Not harassing people doesn’t mean you’re being tolerant of them. Call them out everytime they’re wrong, but if a police report can be filed against you, you’re going too far.
