Get my bio section to the front page and I probably won’t notice.

I don’t see how saying that an MTF woman has an advantage at throwing a ball due to differences that cannot be made up for with hormone therapy is anti-trans. Can it be used an ammo for anti-trans people to make some kind of illogical right-wing talking point? Possibly. That doesn’t mean we should ignore facts and peer-reviewed science that does not fit a social narrative. There is already a political party in the US that loves to ignore inconvenient science. Let’s not make it two.

Being a good soldier, while physically challenging, isn’t the same as being an athlete. To point out a specific difference between male and female bodies that hormone therapy won’t have an impact on is where abdominal muscles connect to the rib cage. Due to this, the speed and force at which a male body can twist its torso compared to a female body (on average) creates a big difference in many sports (if you didn’t know, throwing in most sports involves a lot of torso twisting)

Yup, already did it and ding-dong you are wrong and you should probably reframe how you think about the world in general and take a less reactive and more critical/objective view of contentious topics instead of just going with the crowd.

Lmao. Okay, you’ve proven your point.

It’s clear I’ve read way more than you on this topic. So to make this clear: you posit that being born male won’t give any advantage in any athletic activity given proper hormone therapy?

Lol… wat? Hormone therapy won’t change shit about where and how tendons and ligaments connect to bone and cartilage. People born as women have different biology in this regard no matter what their hormone levels are. Calling people names isn’t going to change facts, pal.

Sorry if you can’t comprehend that someone without a medical degree can read pubmed articles and understand them. I am as “left leaning” or “liberal” as it gets, but I am looking objectively at facts, unlike you. I think it’s clear which one of us has propagandized.

I am very pro trans-rights. But when I take an objective look at this specific topic and combine it with what I know about human biology, it’s clear to me that MTF trans women will have, on average, some level of advantage in many athletic activities over women who were born in female bodies.

Lmao. Do you think that differences in individual’s musculoskeletal system don’t play a part in athletics? Do you also think that hormone therapy can change the differences between male and female musculoskeletal systems? Sorry if you do.

I couldn’t say if any of them are pretending or not, but I can say that there are plenty of peer-reviewed scientific studies that explain that someone born with a male body will (on average) have significant advantages in a wide range of athletic activities due to the physical differences between male and female musculoskeletal systems. No amount of hormone therapy can change where tendons and ligaments connect to bone and cartilage.

I agree. It’s very easy to make an SAB. Spore print to agar dishes and colonized agar to jars in the SAB. So I’ve heard ;)

I am willing to entertain the idea that being a member of this US Senate would be depressing AF.

Just because cheesesteaks are a “Philly food” doesn’t make it good food. Sorry to offend you and “millionaire Mark” over there.

Because there is much better food in Philly than cheesesteaks. Cheesesteaks are peasant food.

I get one square to the chest every once in a while and they pack a punch. Also had one hit my cheek (visor up, sunglasses on). Left a mark.

And if you sit in an office and use your brain all day, sometimes the best thing to relax is some brainless lifting of heavy objects.

If you work with your body all day, sometimes a mentally intense but physically inert activity is exactly what you need.
