About the only revolution you can say upended the status quo were the Russian or Haitian, and both of those had their own issues.
The Nuremberg Trials did not actually fix the issues though. Just like Reconstruction did not fix the issues. The upper crust protects itself even if their ideologies do not align.

It happened when we thought genocide for land was a proper act. I fear sometimes we deserve this outcome, but I'll fight like hell to try and stop it.

All I can really do is accept that. I, as a bi person myself, gave into my own fears and helped to make others afraid. I worry that Karma is coming back upon me lately for that, but if it is what I deserve, then it's what I deserve.
And I'll be honest. I don't deserve your forgiveness. I was at a different point in my life than I am now. But I'll probably spend a chunk of the rest of it trying to make up for that mistake.
