If an insurance company was going to deny a stolen car claim on the basis that your car may have been unlocked then it doesn't matter if 1/2
I had my car stolen, no broken windows they just wedged the door open. Insurance never asked me if it was locked or not.
How are they going to prove it was unlocked?

My mistake I assumed the UK was like NZ where firearms are kept locked in their vehicles.
They can shoot people. It's just not their "go to" response
The chip can get lost in the animal and be in readable though. Pays to get it checked now and then at the vet.
