A random internet stranger.

Damn. I just saw this, and I’m so sorry to hear your dad is gone, but thanks for telling us what an awesome guy he was. Good luck on your bike ride!

That and some of them are immune to cognitive dissonance. I know a handful of gay republicans who are also Mormon.

The article and the headline aren’t libelous - he admitted to having sex with a minor. The dude is scum, and I wish newspapers could state the obvious, but they can’t, and it’s one of the reasons I quit being a journalist.

Newspapers have to adhere to some outrageously strict policies , which can lead to a lot of confusion. In this case, if you look up the article, the officer wasn’t formally accused of rape, so no newspaper in the country can call it that. If he’d been formally convinced of rape by a court of law, then and ONLY then, could a newspaper call this man a rapist.

ROFL! This is such a great scene from Austin Powers. That movie will never stop being funny.

No…I think 1995 was only 10 yrs. ago, but I get why you’d make that mistake.

Came here to say this. I fell for someone who didn’t return my feelings. After sticking around for five years, I finally broke off all contact. It hurt, but not as much as those five years.

That is terrifying, frustrating, and completely unfair. The system needs to change.

My heart goes out to you. Please take some time off to process what’s happened, and seek the advice of a professional.

My PTSD doesn’t meet the definition of PTSD you’ve offered, but I believe that doesn’t make it any less valid. I have and will continue to be compassionate towards people with trauma. That includes people like you (and/or the loved one you were describing), and people like me. 2/2

I don’t know you or your story, but it sounds like you (or someone close to you) has PTSD from being in the military or maybe they were the victim of/witness to violence, and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD by three different medical professionals, and the anxiety/panic that comes with it has been debilitating for 20+ years. It’s all the result of childhood trauma that was later compounded when a lover died by suicide. 1/2

Cool to see a post from you with songs made in 1995!

Damn. That’s really lousy, and I hope you feel better soon.

In this scenario, the dude complaining about no sex has put in zero effort, and our friend with the clipboard is pointing that out. That’s all. The video isn’t saying that lack of sex is always a man’s fault, because it isn’t. Communication goes both ways, and anyone in a relationship needs to have clear, respectful communication.

I laughed at your comment more than anything else today. Thank you.

That wink at the end.

Why does race matter? Just for starters, it matters because black people aren’t given nearly as much leniency within our judicial system. In theory, we’re all equal in the eyes of the law, but in practice, nothing could be further from the truth. This story is a prime example of the problem. The police admitted they mishandled the incident by arresting the boy, and yet he still went to court, where he was sentenced by a white judge who should have dismissed the case.

This is wrong on so many levels. The police chief even admitted that the cops arresting the boy, “violated their training on how to deal with children.” The child should NEVER have been arrested in the first place.

Something has to be in the water, and I’m guessing it’s drugs. Massive amounts of drugs.
