Because xkcd352.
They're not in (parts of) The Hague
Immediate menace
I put out an ad on Dutch marketplace (like gumtree) looking for a black kitten, and got contacted by someone in our city who had family in France who had kittens now, and they would be bringing them to their city as I assume part of the cat distribution system. I tried to find a friend for my other cat, as at that point his brother was missing for over three months. He was found (in someone else's care!) a week after. But she already ruled the house!
I've had friends with cats that were way older! But they're going to get old cat ailments. Catching and treating them early makes all the difference. And advancements in medicine, the medication she is on for osteoporosis is fairly new. We're still waiting to see if it gets better, because she's still struggling, but she's at least improved. She brought us a toy mouse earlier, dragging her hind legs but she will bring toys!
Thank you! And I'm so sorry to hear that. Seeing your kitty struggling is hard. And there will never be enough time. And they put so much trust in us weird forever living giants

I found this uploaded from 9 years ago. Hence the potato quality. He still does this. Also to your face. ๐ค
I'm so sorry for your loss. I always really like the explanation how the pain qnever gets less hurtful, but the space around grows bigger. She's a big part of my heart, so it may take a while, but I think she earned that.
I have lost her two adopted brothers (who were brothers) a few years ago, within a year of eachother. They were only 14/15. I am grateful I had so much time with her, but I've been dreading this too. Those are some lovely ages for cats to reach. You must have taken care of them well ๐. I'd still always want more time though. She could be 23, and I'd think it too soon
Her name is Guinness! She used to have two adopted big brothers with names after alcoholic beverages (though we only called one by that name, Absinthe) and so we wanted to her to fit in. She was smaller, so obviously less alcoholic content. This was extra fun calling her home from the roof terrace, as we lived in the city center right near/above some pubs ๐ฅฒ
Uugh.. but the cuddles you get when you'll be back though! They'll be the clingiest
I may be a tad biased but she absolutely is.
Thank you! And so do I! I got it for her 16th birthday, feeling a little extra. It's actually a cat toy! Found it on Reddit, it was in the background of someone else's picture and I thought they'd just have some burrito on the side table. Brand is P.L.A.Y. (in case someone scrolls to find that).
Goddamn it, I had just stopped crying for a few minutes! Thank you for that though. ๐
I had two brothers that were about 14/15 (adopted) that died within ~a year of eachother. I had them for over a decade. They apparently both had heart issues that just never showed up. They just looked older too. Got frail. I also have a friend who adopted an already old cat expecting to take care of her for a few years. She made it to 19! I'm very happy with the years I had with her, and I don't want her to live in pain to make that happen, but, _just a little while longer please_.
Remembered I could just check your profile and found some! Those are some wonderful companions @-@. I had only just refrained from screaming I had a mighty need for pictures, and also noticed that would have been understood ๐
It's the worst, they are still so much of their happy selfs. She just brought us a toy mouse. Without use of her hind legs =') We have strategic puppy pad places too, and even some Savic nappies now which helps the urine not get stuck in her fur and irritate and she can go around on her own whilst we sleep. But I do notice things starting to get harder for her. She will still kick and bite the fuck out of toys though. Also if you're comfortable with that I would like to see a picture of him!
She did have them, she seemed to have cleared them. No kidney stones. Solensia is her main pain treatment, and she also got an nsaid (onsior) to help with the pain but mostly the inflammation, and the the antibiotics (kesium). And she's on stool softeners, finally.
Thank you <3 It doesn't help that she's still so much herself, demanding cuddles and croaky meowing, no regards for personal space. With other cats it felt so much more obvious. She just powers through everything. But you can tell it's hard for her to do.
Thank you <3
Err...Covered in bees!
Ours start screaming an hour before it goes and will then sit on top of it until it does. YMMV xD
I have PTSD and will respond like this. (And my ADHD/hyperfocus does make it more likely to happen). Regardless she doesn't seem thrilled.
That's amazing! Well done! Oh and uhhm... 2783? Sure .
Apart from agreeing with you: did I just encounter a wild Baj? Have a good night, sir! =)
I have an all black half Siamese. Loud-ass squeaky goofball that will BOOP your nose for attention. Best of both worlds.
