Republicans keep saying the poor need to pay higher taxes to have "skin in the game" (not making that up, sadly) so they should be on board!

If you allow free speech, you'll get pernicious lies, and some of them will come from foreign IP addresses. That's what a free Internet is.

I mean, it's bigoted fearmongering, sure, but it's still true only massive censorship will stop people from sharing political misinformation

Now you know why "talking on Facebook" gets called "influencing elections" when the DNC elite are whining about their failure to run winners

Snuggles. Snuggles happen.

"asking price" which is an opening seller's bid, but "price" by itself means literally what you have to pay, including taxes or other fees.

such as "basic price" which is the price a seller gets after removing any taxes (and adding any subsidy the seller gets for selling) and

No, in English, "price" is the amount you pay to get something. Whatever you pay to whoever, it's what you pay. There are similar things

The USA is still in some ways a confederation of states. In Delaware, everything is priced as marked - if there are taxes, they're included.

Yup, the illustrator and primary author is Trudy Cooper, also author of Platinum Grit. Oglaf is a collaboration between Trudy & Doug Bayne.

Here in real life, some Russian IP addresses posted agitprop to Facebook and nobody has ever shown any proof of any other "interference".

Not a guy. Trudy is the artist, she collaborates with Doug on Patreon.

She. Trudy is a fantastic artist, from Australia I believe.

Thank you, that's helpful!

Have you examined cryptographically validated syslogs and traced the IPs to individuals, or you are just giving blind trust to somebody?

How do you know? You've never met @Yuukami.

Sadly I can't say "many" and I don't turn 'em into Democrats, I just help them see that voting Trump is not the answer to their problems.

I agree and I think it's just going to get worse. Can't put that genie back in the bottle without giving up on freedom of speech.

How can I make the point without doing so? (Honest question, as I am always looking for cures for self-reinforcing affective polarization.)

I think maybe you are somewhat unaware of how the criminal justice system currently works. Hint, cops kill can the poor with impunity.

Thanks! I disagree with both major corporate parties on many things. But I am amused at the imgur downvotes for compassion and respect :)

They look like American dog ticks, Dermacentor variabilis, fully loaded with blood and ready to make babies.

I actually have had a pretty good record on convincing them. It's not hard, you just have to show more compassion & respect, less contempt.

SOCIALISTS!

Well, except in the case of Russian interference you'll never know if it's actually Russians or not. 3 letter agencies aren't trustworthy.
