As a long-time lurker, I've seen enough reposts to drown a Walrus. For this reason, I decided I will only upload OC. That's right, every post is OC. I likely won't get much notoriety, but at least I won't be piggybacking on the success of others.

Ah, the old “Movi Freefly” advertisement. I remember being blown away when I first saw the demo. This was one of the first commercially available gimbals for video production. It was still like 10k dollars for the whole kit though.

Fwiw, thankfully they did apply that effort early on and we are now reaping the rewards. We are definitely leading vaccines for a reason...

Not sure how I feel about this. Aren’t we supposed 2 love our enemies? I think mocking anyone just further divides-Is this our love winning?

But... we just paid them all off last year! :)

Had semi truck to something similar in WV. Totally bizarre, didn’t cut them off or anything, just drove down the center of the road 4 miles.

How tough was the "remote pilot certificate" exam? Hope this Q helps others.

@fallingscales - cool build! When/where did you get your airman's certificate / pilots license? Also, love to see a working gif of drive.

Or wave trash over sensor and it opens. I like ours. Had it for years without issue tbh.

Eh, they sell them at Costco, which answers you question. Worth recharging the batteries every 6 months 4 us. Had ours 3-4 years, no probs.

It's the original intent of the trap that matters, not any signage you put up. A hole in your yard would be easier to defend. This, not so.

Traps targeting people or property, even on your own land, are very illegal in every state.

No idea about this Vimeo account, but the doc was originally made by a homeschool defense organisation.

Best documentary I can find on common core: vimeo.com/97016931 Seriously worth the watch.

Yeah population density also plays a big role as you say. VERY different densities. Virginia has 3x less land for more population vs Finland

The entire country of Finland is about the same size as the single state of California. Different scales that require different solutions :)

FWIW - He's honestly a nice guy that will take a picture with anyone. He used to host a club (FIRST LEGO) at his house back when I was a kid

Engine stalled.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a pretty great flight system but the engine stalled at the wrong time from what I heard. 80+ mph on the ground, ~40-50 in the sky.

Look up the movie "End of the Spear" -- it's about Steve Saint's father.
