Okay. I get the argument, but nuclear war is one of thoes things where if there's a 1% chance your action will cause it to happen it's not worth it. Should Ukraine be supported? Yeah, hell yeah even but its not ridiculous to say Russia does infact have active tactical nuclear weapons it would consider using in a conflict. And I think the chance is higher than 1% below 100% no doubt but its not a course of action that can be weighed like entering into a conventional war

No it isn't. The house of Lords can delay a law 3 times (sending it back to the house of commons with suggestions) the house of commons can the override the HoL the HoC gets the final say and has absolute supremacy
