There’s a wonderful thing about rewatching One Piece where you get to watch the quality climb between arcs, we go from barely any shading to decent to solid all in the first 40 episodes and then you hit Water 7 and the quality spikes. We get this a few more times but it’s insane how high we go in Wano, the first Zoro scene with the trial set the tone perfectly and set it up as the best animation we’d gotten out of the show yet.
