@Ngugi Can you do a post on money in LoTR? Like, when the hobbits are in Bree, how do they pay for rooms and food in inns, ect.... ?
@OP What would happen if the ring got carried into the west by the elves to get one of the Valar to destroy? Would they have the power to do that, being mightier beings than Sauron?
I've never quite figured out the "eastern european girls who aren't very good at holding their breath" line. Anybody know what that's about?

I started getting texts asking if I was getting affected. I'm in Honolulu, 200 miles away....
I'm kind of expecting to get one, but that's cause as soon as I signed my ballot I went "oh fuck my signature looks like crap."
I mean Turkey is also outside the North Atlantic
To be fair, they had actual astronauts to do all the flying, the drillers just had to train for the ride. Makes sense to me.

Definitely watch it, it's probably the best star trek series around and the characters are fantastic. Especially these two.
That scene is one of the best bits of writing in Star Trek, hands down.
I mean, having the elves set sail because the trees were destroyed? Straight to the 2nd Age map of middle earth? Come on!
I mean, In condemned it 7:30 mins into Episode 1 for having skipped the existence of the Silmarils and Beleriand...
I don't know if she's hated but idk why she would be. All her points are perfectly valid even if they are contrary to the rest of the crew.
