Yes and no, some people probably did only wear voiders, but full arms are more structurally sound and all the weight moves to the shoulder.

No.... First off the steel you'd use in anything wouldn't need more carbon, adding more carbon would most likely make the blade weaker. 1

That is something I didn't know, upvote for you.
Because trees don't grow next to major waterways. Ya' know the kind you build your civilization around and even a good bit of your religion.
Get at least a #14 anything lighter won't work.
Look for a pallet or two boxes with the target logo out back and that's usually the day it all gets delivered.
Ex-target team member here, if it's returned and we can't re-sell it (missing box, small dents, ect...) we send it to the closest Goodwill

You forgot the most important part. Get naked then paint yourself blue.
They should go away pretty quick.
If they're anything like aphids just mix a few drops of dish soap and water into a spray bottle and give it a light misting every few days
