I'm planning a second watch thru just to try and tie up some loose ends. I think I understand it, but I lost track of a few characters.

you may decide to focus your tech electives on more specific stuff. Your first couple years are going to be really general AUCC's anyways.
A general EE 4 year degree will give you enough exposure to get into just about any sub-EE field. Depending on what you find interesting 1/2
I went with the power utilities industry, I'm a planning engineer that does studies for all of the local utilities and I love it.
EE here, it's an extremely broad field, you could go on to do coding, designing hardware, signal processes, work in the power utilities etc
