It looks close to a Marine and a Hydralisk. But it's definitely an Ultramarine (upside down Omega; the bolt pistol; the purity seal, the power sword field generator thingamabob on the blade) and a Tyranid Ravener (Sything Talons; Rending Claws). There are 100% definite stylistic 40k... things. Like the weapons are not random, they are clearly defined with rules in the game. It's not SC.
thekeyofe is right, in this case. But you also have to remember that the design of maaany mech variants were just straight up garbage, getting even WORSE with later mks. No idea if the designers were just bad, or they just wanted to add fluffy variants, to hell with efficiency. Viable design strategy, probably a lot of Battletech/MW players aren't power gamers, just want to have fun with big robots go pew and pow.
