Mind your own business.

When my mother died we asked people to donate what they would spend on flowers to charities helping Ukrainians. Some poeple still brought flowers to the funeral... /sigh

I drink to drown sorrows and to celebrate - do I win? Something else than health problems that is?

Thanks for the kind words - possibly inspired by how nice your own eyes are. I've never had anyone want to film them though, and my wife has never seemed very enchanted by them ;)

As a guy with grey eyes, mine must be some different kind of grey because they are just regular grey eyes, like a boring car or dusty bookshelf.

I was a kid in 1980s communist Poland, I don't think our car even had seatbelts in the back. And nobody had heard of car seats for children. And yet here I am to write these words. Probably by sheer luck.

I mean, I live in Europe and we have our problems, but from over here the US looks like some fucking dystopia that should only be possible in a over-the-top series on a streaming platform...

Or can you? Much of that attitude is capitalist myth. Many people cannot take care of the rest, and they need much more than lack of debt, for no fault of their own.

As a rich-ish person, money certainly buys happiness - it buys the freedom to do whatever the fuck you want, and that makes you happy. And you can't be happy if you can't afford to live without stress.

In 2013 I was in the US with my partner on holiday from our native Poland. In a rural Californian BnB we had breakfast with the other guests, a pastor and his wife. They asked us about our religion (Who does that? Pastors I guess...). They were so shocked to hear we were atheists.

Because many people want to be included in social activities? Because everybody has the right not to be rejected by society if they do not actively do harm to others?

In Polish high school in the 1990s I was tought about the Bible in the literature course, ostensibly because it's a work of culture and literature. When I tried to dispute the dogmatic, religious interpretations of some of the passages (e.g. the Song of Songs - I argued it was simply about sex), I was told I was wrong... Yeah, "literature", not dogma...

It was banned in Poland in 2011. But I bet Americans would consider it socialism to regulate that.

When I was born, there were two TV channels, and they had less than 12 hours of content per day. Communist Poland in the 1980s <3

You get paid less when you're sick, and you need a certificate from a doctor. It rarely lasts more than a week or two. But for serious...
