Pulling yourself out of that dark place is a lot of work. If you really need to tell them, go with the truth you feel comfortable with.
You don't have to tell them until you're ready. While you may feel bad that you poofed, don't feel like you're obligated to share that.
I did it one year and it was the best feeling seeing my giftee post their presents. They absolutely loved the gifts

I actually just set up custom orders yesterday to celebrate reaching 50 sales. I hope they're a hit too!

kind of. I pour a clear layer first and let it set a bit before adding clay, or star bits. then, after it cures, I pour a color layer.
epoxy resin and patience. I pour them into a mold and each layer takes 24 hours to cure. So, it's about 4 days for each set.
