Not that long ago we (few girls and a guy) went to a gay club. I’d tell him to watch his drink, don’t leave it unattended, we’d keep an eye on him. We had fun there, dancing and feeling somewhat safe. When we left the club he told me he felt like a piece of meat and I said that’s how we feel, plus our potential offenders are bigger and stronger than us.
They really don’t. My ex-husband didn’t understand when I told him the basic safety rules women have to constantly keep in mind, like be aware of your surroundings, always look around, always be on guard. For us it’s like look both ways before crossing the street. Shit is frustrating.
I’ve seen comments blaming it all on women in the end. How? They blame women for raising these men, like they needed to do a better job. Or they blame women for choosing a wrong partner, where were her eyes when she married him? My dude, we are not human lie detectors, we can be lied to and manipulated like all. At this point I am just done, done dating and done trusting. The more stories like this I hear the more disappointed I get. It’s just not worth it.
We do and we will until the day we die. As Giselle showed us even aging doesn’t secure you from this.

Heard someone say that if daughters don’t get father’s love they spend most of their lives trying to break even, dating the wrong men, seeking the wrong kind of love. It may sound like insta psychology but it hit too close to home tbh. I am nearly 40, my father is still alive but he never spoke to me even though we lived under the same roof. That ship has sailed and I don’t really want and don’t know if we need to get closer.

Shitty situation in one country doesn’t justify shitty situations in other countries. I’m not from the US but I hope it won’t come to anything similar to this.

I fear they’ll just become angrier and more entitled, but as a woman maybe it’s good they’re outing themselves.

Still can’t believe this. Didn’t think it would come to this, a thought of him winning again was followed with “nah”. Turns out it’s yah, he won again. I’m not from the states but this will affect us all in one way or another.
Whoever took the picture did the transportation right. Too many pictures with pets on people’s laps or even worse - on the driver’s body, shit can go horribly wrong.
I’m not a native speaker so at first I thought bodega is some hipster coffee shop or smth, but I keep seeing this word so I looked it up. Now I know :-)
