I'm not sure if you're joking, but I think it's supposed to be "Gangster's Paradise." Like Jesse just pulled a gangster move on his parents

There's no "rule" at all though. Do you pronounce "SCUBA" with a soft U? No. So the pronunciation in the original word of the acronym doesn't matter. Do you pronounce "giraffe" or "giant" with a hard G? No. So the G being followed by a vowel doesn't matter. "Jif" is a perfectly cromulent pronunciation, people just like being contrarian about it for no reason

Not that I don't believe you, but how can you tell? I'm not seeing the normal issues AI has in this case

The current situation seems to demonstrate they'd be much better "overstaffed" than otherwise

I think you're being dishonest in calling me dishonest. What say you to that?

I am saying what I want to say. Like I said, it gets the point across. Just because Ben Franklin meant it a different way doesn't make the statement invalid in its current context. I don't even have to attribute it to him at all if I don't want to. Again, he's dead. He doesn't care one way or the other

See, I acknowledge that he never meant it, but that doesn't mean we need a new quote. We can use his quote however we want. What's he gonna do about it? He's dead

Thanks for providing context, but there's no law that says every quote from a historical leader has to be used in the exact same context each time. It gets the point across. I don't see how that's a bad thing

The country's not dead; there's still over 300 million people living in it. You did your best, now you have to continue doing your best. That doesn't change no matter who's elected. It sucks, sure. But that's the way things are

If you believe that, why bother complaining about Republicans in the first place? How are you going to argue against their actions without bringing morality into the picture? I guarantee you no criticism you can come up with will stand under such an axiom. You might as well let them walk all over you

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

See how far you would get in life if everyone decided to stop being moral just because "morality is a social construct." Morality exists for a reason. That argument is a copout

Ah, but consider: withholding resources from people who legitimately need them is morally wrong.

Like, I understand your frustration, but the point stands.

Ah, but consider: withholding resources from people who legitimately need them is morally wrong.

Plus, it would only hurt the Democrats' chances of winning this election. At the very least, consider FEMA a tool to demonstrate to Republicans that those who voted against FEMA aren't worth voting for. The Dems need all the help they can get in that regard. Not to mention it would also be helping all the people in those states who did NOT vote for Republicans as well.

I'm aware. The point stands.
