Yesterday I had to get deodorant. Swapped from my favourite USA import to an Aussie import. I may be in NZ, and the gesture might be tiny in the grand scheme of things, but I refuse to buy USA products if I can help it. Imagine though if the whole world did that?

How is everyone not burnt out wrecks in the USA? So grateful for the 20 days annual leave + 11 days public holidays + 10 days sick leave (but can accumulate up to 20 days) in lil ol NZ.
USA has a declining birth rate which is less than replacement. That's why they went after Roe v Wade. Why contraception is next. You can be dirt poor but make sure you keep the next generation of consumers coming.

That's exactly what I do! Screaming children in the supermarket? I can turn the volume down. There has to be some perks to missing out on the stuff we wish we could hear but can't cos even the hearing aids aren't quite enough for my type of hearing loss.

I found and watched the ad. As an outside observer (NZer) I just don't get why anyone would see that ad as a positive representation of themselves. Does Florida's wet and humid environment mean its water supply is contaminated with hallucinogenic fungus? Cos that seems to be the only rational explanation.
