I've had both a black dog, brown dog, black cats. They were all very good boys & girls, my family didn't like them due to superstition tho
However, brown dogs are seen as protectors/guide spirits in a time of need.
My tribe is very cautious(not scared) around black dogs. They're messengers(like owls) mostly of death, or a warning to protect yourself.
