The Colonel Bogey March would have been hilarious.
My local gas price here in the prairie is up 90 cents as of yesterday.
Only supposed to be 98 here today. Snowed last Sunday.
I mean, without seeing the shoes it’s hard to know…
There’s a guy in my town with one who wears a helmet and leathers. Obeys the traffic rules and all that. Which is more than I can say for a lot of other people.
In cold climates, people put out carcasses like this to provide fat for overwintering birds. Also, cryptids.
How far will it fly without an engine? All the way to the scene of the crash.
Just looking at that causes pain.
You got a lot of balls, kid.
I had a coworker once that if you weren’t careful, you could accidentally sneak up in front of her. Like walk in her office, stop in front of her desk, say something, and she’d levitate.
I’d be zero if there’d been a blockbuster within 50 miles.
CSIS further suggests future U.S. PATRIOT battalions (a U.S. PATRIOT battalion consists of four PATRIOT batteries) could cost up to $1.27 billion dollars apiece without missiles. PATRIOT interceptors are estimated to cost about $4 million per missile.https://www.congress.gov/crs-product/IF12297
Official PATRIOT system cost figures are not publicly available. According to a December 16, 2022, Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) article, "Patriot to Ukraine: What Does it Mean?," a newly produced PATRIOT battery costs about $1.1 billion, including about $400 million for the system and about $690 million for the missiles.
My mother once asked me if I knew anything about a body they’d found a mile from where I lived at the time. I was insulted. Not that she thought I might know something, but that she thought a body I’d had anything to do with would ever be found.
I can relate to this. Force me to take photos in obligatory social environments vs. when I am enjoying life and you get the same results.

Is this where “ironing board” came from? 👀
Or a herring.

I’m unclear as to the amount of crushed graham cracker in a sheet.
Once they uncurl, it’s all over.
I worked in CA but wintered in CO. Got a summons. Called them up, asked if they paid mileage, and they did. She asked “how far is it?” I said 1140 miles by Google Maps. Correction, they don’t pay mileage. I explained it, rescheduled. In an earlier part of my life, I had to serve on a case during college finals. Turns out civic duty trumps college, didn’t have to take some of them.
Definitely
I had a big field project one year. No overtime. Racked up six weeks of comp time. In addition to annual leave and holidays. October rolled around, walked in to the boss’s office, showed him my timesheet, told him I’d be back in January. Nothing he could do without converting the comp to overtime. Went fishing.
As opposed to the slightly hairier cryptid pregnancy.
Somewhere in a box in my basement is my notebook from my quantum mechanics course back in college. Aced the class, awful instructor, remember nothing.
