These bills, on whatever subject, are always so deceitful.

That's an important observation and practice.

Barbara J. Sivertsen, geologist, sees a link between the eruption of Thera (rn Ahmose I, ca 1545 bce) and the Exodus of the Habiru from Egypt in the Bible. This eruption created a short-term, drastic climate change event known as a volcanic winter, causing worldwide cooling and significantly altering the Mediterranean's environmental, agricultural, and political landscape.

Again, this is what happens when people don't properly read their bible or study related history. There WAS serious climate change, whose effects, starvation, migration, are described in Exodus. It was caused by the eruption of Thera. I guess all that manna from heaven was toast. Burning bushes, roaming for grazeable and arable land...

A revolution is in order. Guilds. Co-operatives. Alternate structures, smaller and democratic.

A gummint run by karens will find something. We live in dark times. I'm a white, straight disabled woman myself. Old. Cancer survivor - so far. I'm looking forward (/s) to the day someone decides I'm a "useless eater" and suggests MAiD for me, as our system crumbles also - we always follow you guys a few years later. As far as solving anything, it's going to take rebellion, universal strikes, and blood in the streets. Revolution. Not gonna be a fun afternoon.

Casinorama and stacking the deck.

I agree - the Dems aren't much better than the Reps. Just a difference in style. And an occasional capitulation to pressure from the People.

Yeah, after Reagan, I sensed that things were going downhill fast. Trouble is, America is an amazing, gorgeous place, with lots to offer, and the people I met were welcoming, kind, and generous. You guys don't deserve the awfulness that's happening to you now. It's heartbreaking to see how you're being effed over. I hope you can solve it. I wish you the best.

Inflation isn't a problem as long as wages inflate correspondingly. Trouble is the connection has been snapped and the commodity-based economy has been replaced by financialization. Fraud. Grift. Exploitation.

The world has flown off its handle.

Amazing how that awful set of screeds can justify every atrocity humans can invent, many even for contradictory reasons. You'd think that an all-powerful, all-knowing deity would be able to inspire or produce a text that does not allow multiple readings.

That, too. Sheesh.

Is there something, anything, any little thing, that's not a grift or a scam anymore? <:((

Always hope, I guess..

At this point, and considering the current circs, that's prolly a good thing.

Thanks. :)) So "bed" not "bead". Just wanted to make sure, as I've never read any of those books. Maybe there was some cultural thing I didn't know about.
