Also, let’s be clear I’m not wholly convinced they’re coming around. They have a lot of issues to work through, and for all we know, they’ll just be duped again when another “Trump” comes along. Nobody’s wrong to be skeptical about a second term change of heart.

If they can vote on the right issues for midterms, something good can come from it. It’s never too late. It is hellishly late, but at this point, I think I’d rather them do right by midterms than never at all.

Obviously, if I had what I wanted, they’d done right 2nd term, or 1st midterm, or 1st term. It’s hard to have much sympathy for them for electing the carrot turd a second time. But if they’re coming around, let them.

That, and the game is usually rigged so you have an incredibly hard time winning.

A ball in the target basket dampens the springiness of the back, for example. Carny leaves a ball in to throw example ball, takes them all out so your balls bounce out when you try.

There are other rigged games, but that’s what I remember well. Pay to play the game and lose. Too steep? Then don’t. The point is to have fun, not to earn something.

Poi-nyant. The way it’s spoken in English is a bastardization of the original French. But the part that’s preserved is how instead of pronouncing a hard g, the g is silent and modifies the next syllable like you’ve put a y before the next vowel.

Wait, no, that’s almost as old as recorded time.

Best way to guarantee it is to bait the longer jump attack, use a dodge to swivel around to his back (dodge early, but not so early you get hit), then you can usually just start charging. If you can walk up close really quick, you can also just continue walking around the attack with no dodge, and attack even sooner.

Nobody is gonna ask you if you meant them, personally. They read it? They’re already hurt. And you didn’t need to use a broad category as an insult. The callout we’re doing is just trying to reign in the broad categories. RFK Jr. is an asshole. We don’t need to give better people with issues speaking MORE anxiety.

I probably saw you do it first, tbh. Some of the insults people use are legitimate health problems with comorbidities of depression and other serious issues. I figure that when browsing a site where sometimes you’re looking at funny memes, feeling like shit isn’t what you signed up for. Or even if you are doomscrolling politics, you don’t want to discover that people will excuse themselves for hurting you by saying “but I get to hate that guy! I didn’t mean ALL fat/neurodiverse/etc. people!”

The concern is the collateral that happens when you decide to deride someone for something kinder people suffer through.

Tbf, this is probably a decision by the franchise owner, not 7-11 as a corp. Which is even more reason not to attribute it to the corp.

At the very least, rinse the dishes right after eating. At least at that point, there’s nothing left to get encrusted on.

Dishwashers are infamously bad at handling any substantial food matter, don’t add work and clog your dishwasher drain. And check the drain routinely, grease may still accumulate.

Tbh, it feels like you could just add soap to the rinsing process, then all you need is a drying rack.

I have found cans of coke that appeared sealed, but had slugs inside.

I think the presence of carbonation is an indicator it stayed sealed, legitimately, but I would just pour it out, anyway.

#3 a moth divebombed my hair as I was browsing my phone in bed last night. Tried to remove it and it got stuck, deeper. Wasn’t a caterpillar anymore, but it’s the closest I’ve got.

Probably wrecked its wings pretty badly, considering how moth wings are composed.

A common mistake to interpreting strength and weakness is associating them with apparent and immediate effectiveness.

Kill a man, and he can’t harm you any longer. Spare a man, and defend yourself from him time and time again, and you prove yourself even stronger than killing him.

Things are a lot more complicated than that, but I thoroughly believe there is nothing weak about pacifism. As long as you don’t conflate pacifism with inaction.

Therapy is extremely under appreciated. Not that every therapist is a good match with each patient, but it’s not normalized to the degree general medicine is, and it should be.

You’re on a crusade for some reason. As it is, “just fine” is a bunch of people latching onto unhealthy coping mechanisms that are somewhat healthier than not coping at all. They’re aware that they are “just fine,” but could stand to benefit from some better processing of their traumas.

He doesn’t get a pass, he has a kill count. He deserves to be in jail for 1000 lifetimes for that, alone. I wouldn’t have felt this way if all it was was incompetence. It was sabotage. One doesn’t look at the death rates of people and continue to reduce safeties for them without being responsible for them.

Those 4 years would have been far better with a moldy potato in place for our President.

Many don’t speak up. For various reasons. Don’t want to be associated with the bad ones (sadly, it’s too late), and scripture tells them not to make a show of their faith for clout.

But, I think it makes sense not to come at it from a “they aren’t real Christians!” angle, and just call them out, to their faces. There are conflicting lessons in the Bible, but there are A LOT more teaching love and acceptance in the Gospels than not.

I’d be happy to see if assassination isn’t the answer. I don’t like the idea of drawing lines and saying “if you are this bad, you should die.” But he’s quickly affecting too many lives, and the “correct actions” are blind to it.

Put it this way: the consequences precede the event, and will continue until the event occurs.

In every action, you are not making a decision between no consequence and consequence, you are picking whichever favors you most, or favors other people over yourself. There are consequences for doing nothing, you only earn the platitude that “I have done nothing wrong!”

We’ve been taught murder is wrong. Is killing someone who is working to make millions live a life worse than death, murder?

Buying a bottle of water is pretty much JUST for the disposable bottle. Doesn’t make it an actually smart thing to do, but it’s convenient (as is a lot of unnecessary waste).

He didn’t get the stand right, and the umbrella ended up tipping over. Seems like it ended up applying quite a good deal of torque.

He probably could’ve used a second person down below to guide the umbrella into the stand better.

Vaccines reduce later illnesses. If people still get those illnesses, they’ll be paying for medicine for the rest of their life, rather than for the vaccine.

A healthy public funnels less money into medical businesses than one riddled with disease.

I’m a cishet white man. While there are definitely pressures and expectations that weigh on me in ways that might make me feel lower than where I ought to be, I recognize those pressures are heavier on virtually every other alternative of those descriptors I started with. But by being a feminist, I advance men’s rights, too. Breaking down those pressures on women will break them for men, too, or at least pave the way. Women’s rights are human rights, in more ways than just categorization.

It might, actually… Gotta play on stuff older the ps4, so you can get physical stuff, especially with some boxes having nothing but a code in them nowadays.

Well, unless you feel like Gol D. Roger.
