lol what a strange comment. Do you pay for each time a game pops up? No. Nobody is forcing you to buy it and there is always the option to keep scrolling.

Isn't showing off a game that some people worked for on probably months and dedicated their free time to already worth reading?
Just because someone is proud of their work and sharing it around imgur it does not mean it's an ad. They want to show it off to the world. Have you never drawn something so cool or have a nice mug and wanted to show off to your family members? Well, same goes in this case.
So .. basically should I lie and say I quit my job to make my dream game?
Is anyone pushing an ad across your face and holding you hostage? All you have to do is keep scrolling. Your life does not depend on it. If you see someone promoting his game or any other stuff here then it's probably because they can't afford to spend $$$$ thousands on real ads. Besides, who knows someone might actually enjoy the game.
