Love everyone. Not just the people who are easy to love, but also your enemies. If someone hurts you, take your time to process your anger. Demonize them if that’s what it takes for you to get out of bed the next day. Hate is a great motivator, but don’t hold onto that hate. Once you’ve healed, open that wound again and make yourself vulnerable and tell them that you forgive them and that you love them. Love them not romantically or as a person you depend on if you don’t want to, but love them for common humanity. Don’t let them back into your life if you don’t want to, because they hurt you and I get that. It might be better for both people because you’re scared to get hurt again. But don’t hold on to that anger, and don’t let them hold on to their anger or your own either.
