This happened to my nan too - she thought a family of Kosovan refugees lived in her attic, wrote messages to her on the TV with a magic pen.

FWIW, I also consider myself successful & certainly haven't always had the best of things. Success is about more than hard work.
Well done for doing well. But your "success" is luck. You may not always be successful, through no fault of your own.
"complaining persistently and in a peevish or irritating way". Perhaps it's more a word we use in Britain than elsewhere.
Imagine you got fired tomorrow. And then your partner (who was on your work health insurance) gets really sick. You still Richard? Or Paula?
Call me simplistic, but wouldn't it be better for companies to just not to hire racists to do their recruiting?!
Remember that pic of the person using a syrup bottle for their water at the gym? This could be that. Hopefully. Maybe. Probably not.
