You're making a mistake. Don't leave, just put in a absolute minimum performance whilst looking for better work. It's very difficult to get a job when you don't have one and explaining the last job was "terrible" never comes across well.
If you havent, try the game Starship Titanic on GoG. A gem written by Douglas Adams with lovely references to Hitchhikers, a stunning soundtrack and a oddly beautiful ending.
People are, for the most part quite small, yet demand a wildly ranging amount of personal space to feel comfortable.
I'm just saying, that's the perfect ratio of character clichés for a horror film.

I watched that scene when I was way too young and had nightmares for weeks. Pretty sure it's where I developed a temporary claustrophobia from.
It's to "dominate" a perp. Show you are willing to use violence else the guy think you're soft and try something. The other guys already thrown a brick so shown they ain't a pacifist.
The literal concept of mansplaining was created because of how endemic men correcting femme presenting people was.
