Well you go tell him the rest of America says "Get your ass in gear and go vote. Our lives depend on it and we need every single vote". If I can get my dad and son to vote (who also had the same opinion as your husband), you can get your husband to vote. Personally, I'm angry they're trying to convince us that voting doesn't work and I'll fucking die before I allow them to deter me from doing my civic duty. My father and son have both voted in the every single election held in the last five yrs.

I'm all for choice, but my local stores (the bastards) have taken away the option of going through a cashier. I LIKE the five minutes of down time I get while standing in line and while waiting for the cahier to ring me up, so no, I don't want to do self-checkout.

Eragon was an excellent story that the movie producers absolutely botched (and yes, I'm still salty over that almost twenty years later -- because yeah, the movie was that egregious).
The worst thing about cigarettes is the secondhand and third-hand smoke that smokers always think is their right to share. I'm so sick of how smokers lie to themselves and truly believe they're being 100% courteous to others who choose not to die from their carcinogen sticks. Like my father. Even though my mother died from his goddamn secondhand smoke. But if you ask him, he'll say "But I always stay downwind of you". No you schmuck, wind shifts frequently and now I'm breathing in your smoke.

I just always thought that it meant the (weirdo) non-reading villagers were just more obnoxious and vocal about their beliefs (kinda like MAGA people), and the more intelligent readers were simply not seen on-screen because the story was focusing on how those jerks were causing problems and how Belle and Beast overcame them.
