MSG was heavily used in Campbell soup for years before it was common in Chinese food in the US, yet mysteriously, no one complained of migraines from eating Campbell's.

You can buy it most everywhere. In the US it's sold as "Accent".

That place should be burned down for the travesty that is the left pizza. Unless you specifically ordered it with half crust.

He knew that this was the last time he would be seeing the shire and his fellow hobbits. He was apologizing for not treating many of them finally enough, essentially being a gracious host and saying he wished he knew them better than he did.

I feel like humans who liked and we're willing to work with dogs having an evolutionary advantage over those who didn't is an overlooked influence. Dog lovers out competing dog haters.

I could be misremembering but I think it was some kind of a stress warning thing for his blood pressure.

20000 leagues beneath the sea is like this. The unabridged version reads like a travelogue.

I'm confused by that as well. How can that work with the nose uncovered?

God, I loved that episode. The greatest episode of television ever put to the airwaves imo. The writers for this show are completely unhinged and I'm 100% here for it.

My wife and I love this stuff. Pretty much the only chocolate we buy now when we actually buy chocolate as a treat. One of the brands that you find at Aldi has also started getting their cocoa through the same supply chain as Tony's.

Death is not punishment. Abusers need to be prosecuted. They need to be dragged into the light so everyone they know can see what they really are.

You could fall asleep in that wagon and the horse would make it back to the barn with no problem.

Does that use a ginger bug? That's something I've been wanting to try making.

Switched recipes should be pretty similar but this is mine.
8 cups water
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon powdered ginger or 2 tablespoons grated ginger
Zest and juice from 1/2 to 1 lemon.

I put it in an old growler jug with a stopper and it keeps in the fridge for a long time. I just strain it through a small wire strainer when I have a glass.

I only started adding the lemon this season as a trial and it really added a nice flavor.
