Grad student who neglects her work for this site. And doesn't regret that most of the time.
I cannot believe that we're still struggling to separate sexuality from religion. Sigh.
Conservatives do have empathy but only to those in their own community. It's important to understand the nuauces.

I feel bad for people who served time in prison and then still get judged for it after they get out. They had already paid the price.

Instead of seeing the people they're working with as 'partners' in the program you're helping set up.
Funnily enough, that includes reform of the aid sector itself because it still tends to be about top-down/donor-beneficiary relations
Yeah, it's now essentially about them accessing the resources they deserve to not be reliant on others giving them stuff in the long run.
Or the fact that football was started by a bunch of elitist and heirarchical ivy league schools that didn't take Black students?
Definitely great that she was able to contribute, and I hope that the next gen of helpers also listen to what people want, too.
As someone who has worked in the aid sector in Southern Africa and other places - this is very sweet, and so so so misguided.
That hope you take in with you to the next month of 2020, only for some new issue to crop up.
