Yup. D4 has been an incredible example of this. My husband and I have both worked in gaming for a decade each and the early choices they made were nonsensical. We have seen the inside of the shitty but necessary decisions games make but these were just baffling. It was so antagonistic to players! I can't work in gaming anymore (the pay is 40% what you'd get doing the same job elsewhere with way less toxicity and death threats) but I still watch how these things roll out and smdh
They have criminal justice degrees at 4 year colleges and it absolutely does not help. I dropped out of the program because 99% of my classmates were big fans of "sheriff joe" and insisted that men can't be victims of sexual assault. One professor basically baked racism into his teaching. I couldn't do it, it was breaking me.
