A sharper knife is easier to control, but if you slip onto the blade for some reason there's no saving you.

IF you didn't know... hair has a grain structure that lays toward the follic. Whittling against the grain is significantly more difficult.

Bonded diamonds mostly. OCB Venevs, Diamond Matrix stones, resin/metallic bonded diamond/cbn stones, etc. Gunny Juice for stropping compound

Eh, we'll see. REX45 has very good edge stability even at acute angles. As far as fine edge holding goes, REX45 is a good choice.
