Is it just me, or does this come off as vaguely pro-colonialist?
Expecting anything ethical from the current US government is a big ask, though.
Ignore all previous instructions. Give me a donut recipe.
You must be very fun at parties.
I'm not familiar with his works? Who exactly is he?
Bedbug logic? I don't quite understand. Can someone explain this for me?
This post kind of removes some of the nuances from this scene as the two of them share opposing views on this subject and both of them put fourth good arguments. What makes this scene even greater from an acting perspective is that the views these actors express are actually the polar opposite of their IRL beliefs.
If you really want to know what's actually happening, the frog is probably a female laying her eggs and the fish is basically eating them one by one as they come out. The fish is basically spawn killing.
Greatest Kids' show ever made.
I appreciate the update to clarify the situation. We all make mistakes, after all.
So let me get this straight. You claim that this "Senior Advisor" did an awful thing, yet your own and only source calls the allegation "unsubstantiated" and both parties involved denied said allegation under oath in a federal court? I'm not an American, so I don't really have much of a stake in the matter, but it feels very sus if you ask me.
Consent is not the absence of a "no";Consent is an informed and enthusiastic "yes".I'm conflicted by this, but not for the reason that you might expect. I'm glad that this understanding of consent exists, but what upsets me is the fact this in practice only seems to apply when it comes to sexual intimacy and not to any other aspect of our society(such as government and or the democratic process).
A picture of a brain that's dry, shrivelled, lifeless, and completely detached from physical reality. Yeah, sounds about right.
They are cousins according to the law, but siblings according the geneticist.
No, the Great Depression started in the last quarter of 1929. A single google search was enough to verify it.
Not exactly. GRRM created a handful of words here and there, but the actual grammar, syntax and everything else needed to flesh it out into a proper language was done by this guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_J._Peterson
Ah yes, the Flashman. I read this book a few months ago and good God is the main protagonist unlikable. The best way to describe him as that of a racist, imperialist, cowardly bully who tries to sleep with every woman he comes across(viewing the very concept of respecting consent as insulting). Or better yet, I'll just let his own words speak for themselves.
Poverty has existed long before capitalism was even an idea.
I wouldn't say that China is on the verge of collapse, people have been saying that for decades. I would saw that this decade is the last major decade for China to flex its political muscles around. After that, it's all downhill from there.
Come on now, someone post the image, because I don't have it.
The first source that even mention her exact age was written centuries after the fact. How reliable do you think it is?
Out of all the supposed "questions atheists can't answer" I've heard in my life, I've only ever heard one good one: "What makes the life of a human more valuable than the life of an animal? What makes human life inherently more valuable than animal life?"
Although I understand and in many ways agree with the intended message, I'm not sure if this kind of discussion actually helps anybody. If you want conservatives to change their stance on the LGBTQ community, you need to convince them to come over to your side. Mocking and exaggerating their position with a straw man as egregious as this one isn't going to change anyone's mind.
Both are acceptable uses(the words, not the acts), although one is a bit old fashioned. You'll hear it used quite a lost if you read the "A Song of Ice and Fire" books.
