Its almost as if you have to put in the work BEFORE you get promoted.... Weird.
Seems to me like using a torch would ruin the heat treating on those wheels, at least locally causing the lugnut seats to soften up.
If you live anywhere with building codes and or liability laws I'd rip out those stairs and put in something legal asap!
Looks great! Two small suggestions, add trim to close up that big ceiling gap, and somehow conceal the white cabinet boxes where they show.
It's still in the same spot to the right of the sink, just a matching door.

...That being said, taking a chainsaw to large structural members should NEVER be done without a structural engineer signing off on it. 3/3

Generally yes, but its tough to say the effect on this particular structure, the floor joists seem to be pocketed into the masonry well 1/2

As in the US, high murder rates due to gang wars don't equate to high crime in other areas, so its apples to oranges.
Since Baja isn't a city I'll assume you mean Medellin, which in 2017 was 23 per 100k, lower than New Orleans, Baltimore, and St Louis.
For those not a fan of showering 3x a day try Medellin (the city of eternal spring) or north pacific Baja, aka southern southern California.
Qualifying for retirement anywhere in the EU is a nightmare if you aren't a citizen and brutal humidity rules out the rest...
