That's kind of what I said though? The glasses make colors have more contrast, whether by separating them or blocking other colors
They only add contrast, unfortunately. We just can't make the eyes see more colors
In all seriousness, it's a show with "cute" characters that are super twisted, to say the least

I totally meant cones, not rods. My bad.
It's because we use 3 types of rods to see colors, while Mantis Shrimp have way more, so they can (we think) see way more colors than us
