In my case I compare “feeling anxious” vs “anxiety” to a “paper cut” to have a “leg blown off.” Sure one hurts and is frustrating. The other is life threatening and life changing.
Fortunately my anxiety is well controlled with Zoloft. I have polycystic kidney disease which caused my parathyroids to become enlarged and over-productive. After a kidney transplant my parathyroids were removed as well as my native kidneys, during which my adrenal glands were damaged. An electrolyte, chemical, or hormone imbalance led to a full blown anxiety attack requiring immediate medical attention. I don’t think muggles comprehend the difference between “feeling anxious” and “anxiety.”
I was kind of hoping there might be a few accidental Fentanyl overdoses, but that’s just me dreaming.
I have constant tinnitus. Last few concerts I’ve been to were at much more reasonable volumes, it was nice. I’ve never understood why bands/DJs at bars always played so freaking loud. At a point it changes from music to noise. Plus, if you’re out with friends conversations are impossible. But…. Maybe losing my hearing is making me too old. I have to wear headphones when lawn mowing or working in my shop now. Protect your hearing, kids! Joan Jett, please turn it down FFS!
You should see many of the responses on that FB post. They are convinced that Trump didn’t cause J6. It’s unreal.
Well, you’re not picking one up.
Those things weigh damn near as much as a regular size car. And they require premium fuel.
I’ve repeatedly told my MAGA snowflake coworkers that the president has little to nothing to do with gas prices. In fact, if you study oil futures and how the oil business works you’ll realize real quick that gas prices are going to hover around $3-$3.50 per gallon with regional variations. Trump’s plan to “drill, baby, drill” or building pipelines won’t have any impact on gas prices. Oil companies need prices in a certain range.
Which EO # was this? I want to study up before I go slap around some MAGA snowflakes.
They just deflect and try to move on to another topic. They absolutely do not see the things they don’t want to. Also, they have a warped memory of history. Take gas prices for example, Trump had it lower than it had been in decades, but no memory that it was because of COVID lockdowns during Trump presidency. “No, that was Biden that did the illegal lockdowns.” It’s so frustrating talking to them.

He also had many of these things on his campaign website. When I showed HIS website to some co-workers that are MAGA they responded with “fake news.”
I’m hopeful that if things go really badly, and I’m not sure how to define that, that some of our special forces or one of his secret service detail will bring it to a conclusion.
I tried. I did a post about planning a protest when Trump pardons the J6 traitors and it got shot down because there were other more important issues that I didn’t protest about and because it would occur after the pardon rather than before. So, doing nothing appears to be the way to handle it.
This has been my argument for sometime. We, the anti-MAGA, Democrats, or whatever you call us, don’t have the leadership to organize anything. We also don’t have the personalities to have groups like “Oath Keepers” or any of those faux militia groups. A movement requires two people; one that says “let’s do this thing” and the other that says “Yeah! Come on everyone let’s do it!” We simply don’t have that first person. Until we do we’re going to sit back and get steamrolled.
nearly everything you see them doing on TV and in the movies with security cameras is BS. Commercial systems are nearly impossible to hack into, they don’t have infinite zoom, they don’t have thermal imaging, they can’t clear up a bad image, etc.. Then they have lots of problems like, spiders build webs in front of them and lots of other bugs love them, people hang signs and decorations and other things in front of them. Outside plants grow in the way, or a neighbor add a light that blinds them
is they enable the people who are supposed to be out and about, patrolling, showing a presence, etc. to be lazy. Instead they can just lookup an event. Then they want more and more cameras to cover the dark areas. When I retired there were 120 cameras in a building that at originally had 10. And I know my replacement was working on changing many of those cameras to 360-degree cameras, which is equal to multiplying the number by 3 or 4. So, they are well over the equivalent of 200 now. Anyway, 2/
Retired IT director here. I was responsible for security cameras among many other things. Mostly nobody ever looked at the camera footage unless there was an issue. Modern analytics helps a lot, but it sucks looking through camera footage. There’s no profiling or tracking of people in general. Analytics let you do things like follow that red sweatshirt from one camera to the next or read license plates at the driveway and notify me if a certain one arrives. The disadvantage of cameras 1/
She is the only one that wasn’t locking her knees out.
They have an overwhelming list of stupid-ass reasons for what caused it, none of which are remotely plausible.
Mast cell activation syndrome?
In the thumb! I don’t play Skyrim, this post is confusing as hell for me!
Hey guys. Never mind. @hoopsnek says we shouldn’t protest anything since we didn’t prioritize our protests. Also, @jeo1965 thinks it’s pointless. So…. Yeah. I guess we’ll just bitch online about egg prices or something instead.
Yeah, you’re right. Probably shouldn’t protest anything.
Stay on topic.
So… we should start organizing a nationwide protest in the event Trump does pardon them, or before if there’s some way to determine that he’s moving forward.
My huge tape collection was stolen from my car. No way I’m buying all those again.
seen, law enforcement does not care what color the lights were. They will let the court sort it out. Even if that driver were able to get off, highly unlikely, they would have regretted doing it.
The driver of the car should have absolutely stopped. Where I see an argument is they came around the bus when the flashing lights were yellow. The lights do not change to red and deploy the folding stop signs until the driver opens the door. So, from the driver’s perspective, they ran a yellow light. From my professional experience, don’t be stupid and run a yellow or red bus light. If you don’t kill or injure a child you are just lucky. Really, really lucky. Secondly, from what I’ve 2/
records the status of the swing out stop sign, status of every single light on the bus, gps, speed of the bus, g-forces, braking force, if the door is open, if the driver presses an incident button, and more. My point is, if you run a bus that’s equipped with cameras, you will get caught. EVERY TIME.
