Daw, well isn't that just the cutest baby burro ever!
I dunno about other people, but I have 1 full-time for healthcare and benefits ( and it sucks ) , 1 part-time, and 3 side gigs that I do off and on work for on the week. Its about 70-80 hours of work a week, give or take. And I work most holidays, but not Christmas or Easter. I'm also a millennial, so it's my time to earn, I guess.
Remember Indie Game Dev awards are on Dec 18th.

Both of my parents were killed by medical professionals, my mom in 2006, my dad in 2017. They loaded them up on morphine to make them easier to deal with and ignored their pain and symptoms. They got sicker. My mom's medical bills bankrupted my Dad. They stole his entire life savings, and they will do the same to us.
I stepped on a pad to activate an animatronic, once not realizing there was a curious toddler behind me watching. I jumped at the sound it made. The toddler ran screaming out of the store with the parent running after it. I felt so bad, I never like scaring the little ones. I still feel gutted about it to this day.
This needs to be said louder for the kids in the back row.
I understand the sentiment. The issue is we need to remove him non violently and by the law, otherwise he becomes a martyr to his followers. Remove the orange turd and you get another hydra head to take his place. They want to push us to this, so fascism can grow. They want us divided, they want us fighting, so they keep power. We're not cowards, but we do lack organization and direction.
I've been thinking this for 15 years, and now I can add AI tech bros to that list. Just one day, I don't want to hear about it.

I was 6 months pregnant, working a few extra hours every day to get ahead of some work, because of the maternity leave. Needed to bring in extra food during the day, from home, because of healthy diet rules and all. Well, a co-worker kept stealing my dinners I'd save in the fridge on the long days. Put my name on them, date, labeled do not take. Didn't matter, food was always gone when I needed it. No one did anything about it. :(

If the budget allows, get yourself an America's Test Kitchen subscription for your first year of cooking, not for the recipes, but for the tools. Invest in their best rated kitchen equipment, such as a good cutting board, a stainless steel pan, and a kitchen knife. Their veggie peeler is also a must-have in our kitchen. ATK has tested tools that will last a lifetime, and we've saved a significant amount of money by purchasing their recommended equipment over the years.
Tampa's Mayor is GAY, St. Pete has a proud lgbtq+ community. Should have maybe read the room before moving here. Not all places in FL are right-wing MAGA nut cases. That's saved for the villages.

This is an important life skill that parents often overlook. It's great for kids to learn to wash dishes at a young age. My husband and I both grew up in homes where we hand washed dishes after meals, and we were the labor force dishwashers during the holidays before we could go play. Built in habits young, we thank them now, now I see my adhd go into overdrive organizing the dishes for cleaning. Small to big!

I was on a flight, upon landing I learned of the news. I broke down sobbing on the airplane when I got the text message. He is one of my heroes. I have never met him, but I will always carry his words etched into a part of my soul forever.
Yep, even my nonpolitical posts do better on BlueSky, and my Twitter X ones are buried.
Yeah, I can see time and money being key, though I put myself through college by living in my car and on $50 a month for food. Money stretched thin and scraped together a computer. My entire paycheck went to tuition/gas and showering/laundry at public parks. I don't recommend or even admire that life; I chose to do the hard thing to make it, but then I get called privileged and talented like I'm a golden goose. I'm not, so I guess that's why when talent gets tossed around, I get miffed.
Thank you. What you said is true. As an artist myself, I hate the word "talent" because, to the non-artist, it seems like it was just born with some magical gift. No, what I did have is the patience to pursue a craft and the discipline to keep studying and refining it. To the people who say, "I wish I could draw." THEN DRAW! nothing is stopping you. no one is gatekeeping pencils and paper.
Or, ya know, it's a trained skill honed over several years like any other profession. Mural Street artists take decades of study to get to this level. It's not "talent".
