Feels like cheating

That’s not to say your character shouldn’t be relatable to you, but safe boundaries are important to reduce personal & internal frustration
something personal when they share true emotions with their character, and it directly robs them of some otherwise very fun role play.
As a gm I always try and dissuade players from self-based characters, especially first-timers. It’s easier for conflict to be perceived as
