Sounds like you really don't want to give trump credit for anything here. Why capitulate to dictators?

There wasn't much of a statement to change, just a cheeky dig. I make a cheeky dig in response and suddenly your all business. Tch.

Not only. But connotation is part of that assessment

You are either being stupid or facetious.

One of those was an opinion and all presidents seem to give tax cuts to the rich. I don't know about environmental protection.

The word itself is not a neutral one though. It's decidedly negative.

"He's a big orange meanie, and I HATE him!"

It seemed like a lot when people were crying World War three over it.

Bias is obvious anyway considering how things trump says are 'rambles' and 'rants'

Toddlers don't generally do so well for the economy or reunify Korea. If yours does I'm kind of jealous.

Seems like a president thing to ramble incoherently. Bush did it famously and Obama needed a teleprompter for EVERYTHING

In fact it's kind of the opposite of punk because it adheres to strict Victorian principles and not the subversion of social order.

It kind of does. Where's the 'punk',after all? Hard to be gritty and grungy in an airship on a mission from the queen herself.

I've 'heard' so many things about that march that it's impossible to separate from fiction. Wasn't it about the removal of statues though?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Was that even about race in the slightest?

Exceptions aren't the rule though. In general steampunk is reliant on the aesthetic and cyberpunk is reliant on social commentary

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yep! Except for the garbage part. There's some great works out there that people call 'steampunk'. Basically punk isn't an aesthetic suffix

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

'steampunk' is especially egregious as a bad term because society in that is viewed from the perspective of the genteel, not the 'punks'

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's 'punk'because it is society viewed from a grungy and lower class perspective. We see the haves from the have boys perspective.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yes but it is not purely so. It has common political and social commentary too

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Well at least when you're called an anti-feminist and a whore you're only being insulted once

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Lol only one of these are real. Everything but cyberpunk is just speculative fiction.

Maybe it's just the UK, but we had a few years of disbelief if you told people you thought it was shit

In a room full of his mates, probably doable. A massive country of 300 million people? Trickier.

People didn't see this kind of shit as scary then. Mass production wasn't a thing so more stuff looked like Etsy shit

Don't those girls know that he is literally Hitler?

I never thought I would see this at the dmz in my lifetime.

Makes them uncomfortable? Wow... History class is gonna be wall-to-wall seizures then.

..someone with long hair changes gender when they cut it. Which seems ludicrous to me
