As someone who was previously addicted to drugs, the only one that can help is you. You didn't fail her, she lost her own battle.

On it, likely. Try to scrape off the burn gently with a butter knife. This is not a fix, it's a temporary solution.
So, look on the interior side of the microwave. There will be a piece of board thing, mica board. If you take that out, you'll see some burn
