Looks pretty. Back at my old job there was a group of women who'd meet up weekly and untangle yarn (no idea where they got it from) on their lunch break then make a bunch of these squares of various designs. Then they'd connect them to make quilts. At the end of the year they'd donate them to those in need.
It seems either way they're going to suffer, so they should do what they've should have done a long time ago and fix their own country before ruining others. Same goes for the Americans, keep letting your leaders take you down the fascist path and you'll all eventually be just as loved as the Russians.

No, that is one problem he doesn't have. It's his hands, they are extremely sensitive and cool temperatures (not even cold/freezing) can cause them pain. He has special gloves that he sleeps with to keep his hands warm when he sleeps otherwise the pain will keep him awake.
Take care of your body. My Dad was like you in that he liked physical work and growing plants and raising animals. He was a farmer and electrician. Over the years he did a lot if it outdoor work in adverse temperatures. He's in his 70's now and the abusive temperatures and vibrations caught up with him. Bad arthritis in his hands, and Raynaud's disease. Despite all that, he still misses being able to farm.

You can always make a home-made ice rink in your backyard. Assuming you have one with a large enough empty space. Or if you're city-bound, some cities create rinks out in public spaces, like a park, or even a fountain area.
