Especially at that size, it would be ludicrous to say that that was found naturally and not man made.
Of course it can, but it is extremely rare to find naturally, and even more so the crystal structure pictured above.

Sue them for what? Wasn't it the police who beat him up? Bumping people from flights is legal. He would just be wasting money on a lawyer.
